_Traineeship in English and Work Readiness

Traineeship in English and Work Readiness (TEWR) is a part of the Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP). TEWR is designed to help learners prepare for joining the Australian workforce in their specialised fields.

The TEWR program offers:

  • 100 hours of workplace communication & work preparation training
  • 60 hours of work experience in an area related to your occupation
  • vocational counselling and mentoring

To join the TEWR, you must:

  • not have completed your AMEP study
  • have a tertiary or trade qualification from your previous country
  • have work experience in your field
  • be able to speak English at CSWE III level
  • be ready for work
  • have a resume
