Spectacular Sydney

Sydney is the largest city in Australia. It is a popular destination for tourists from around the world. With so many things to see and do in this beautiful city, you can experience it all through the ACLClub which has regular activities and excursions offered exclusively to ACL students.

Explore the Harbour
There are many ways to explore Sydney Harbour. You can catch a ferry, go on a harbour-side walk, even climb Sydney Harbour Bridge. A short walk from the water you can have a picnic lunch on the grass and see some of Australia’s native plants in the Royal Botanic Gardens.

Shopping
Sydney is a fantastic place for shopping, with department stores, boutiques and malls in the city, and outdoor markets on the weekends in most areas including The Rocks, Paddington, Bondi, Glebe and Manly.

Beaches
Sydney is also well known for its beautiful beaches. There are the popular tourist destinations of Bondi and Manly, easy to reach by public transport, as well as many other beaches where you can swim, go surfing and relax in the sun.

Dining
There are restaurants serving cuisines from all over the world — Thai, Indian, French, Japanese, just to name a few. Sydney is also famous for its seafood, and plenty of local restaurants serving a unique style of ‘Australian’ cuisine. History and Culture
To learn about Australia’s history and culture, visit any of Sydney’s museums: the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Australian Museum, the Powerhouse Museum or the National Maritime Museum.

Sydney has many other tourist attractions, including Sydney Aquarium, Taronga Zoo, Darling Harbour, Sydney Tower, and Chinatown.
