Outside Sydney

Just two to three hours out of the city are many beautiful areas to explore. The ACLClub, with its regular program of social activities, offers trips to many of these areas outside of Sydney. The Hunter Valley, about two hours north of Sydney, has many vineyards where you can taste some of Australia’s top wines, dine in fabulous restaurants, and relax and enjoy the countryside.

The Blue Mountains are located two hours to the west of the city. Here you can enjoy nature walks amid wonderful mountain scenery.

Two hours south of Sydney is the pretty town of Kiama, which is famous for a natural blowhole and delicious fish and chips.

A little further south you will find Canberra, Australia’s capital city. Canberra is home to the houses of parliament, art galleries, museums and many other tourist attractions.
