General English Course

ACL’s General English course has been designed to:

  • Build skills, confidence and fluency
  • Teach you to communicate successfully in real-life situations
  • Improve your grammar and expand your vocabulary
  • Increase your speaking, pronunciation and listening skills
  • Improve your reading and writing

During supervised Self Access sessions, you will be able to use the computer centres and log on to online materials that directly reinforce what you have studied during your face-to-face classes.

If you choose full-time General English, and your level is intermediate and above, you can choose an elective in the afternoon session of your class. Electives include:

  • Speaking and Pronunciation
  • Listening Skills Workshop
  • Writing and Grammar Workshop
  • TOEIC Exam Preparation

The General English course is also the basis for more specialised English language studies at ACL.
