How to Enrol in AMEP

To join the AMEP, you need to meet the eligibility criteria as set out by the Australian government. You may be eligible to join the AMEP if you:

• are an adult, 18 years or older
• are a migrant or refugee who has recently arrived in Australia
• have been granted a permanent visa 

You need to join the Adult Migrant English Program within three months of arriving in Australia and start classes within one year. Under the program you can study English for up to 510 hours.

Enrolling and Commencing Classes:

To find out if you are eligible, visit an ACL AMEP college with your passport and visa to confirm your eligibility. This will only take a few minutes.

If you are eligible to join the program, an assessment will be arranged for you to determine your level of English language skills. You will then be invited to join a class best suited to your language needs.

You can chose to study full-time, part-time, evenings and Saturdays.

8:30am - 7:00pm Monday to Wednesday
8:30am - 5:00pm Thursday to Friday
9:00am - 1:00pm Saturdays
