Certificate in Spoken and Written English

Courses in the AMEP are designed to help migrants and refugees to learn necessary language skills and settle successfully in Australia.

Students studying in the AMEP can:

  • learn necessary language skills to deal with everyday life and workplace situations
  • learn about the Australian culture to be able to participate in the community
  • learn about the Australian workplace
  • achieve nationally recognised Certificates in Spoken and Written English

The AMEP is delivered through Certificates in Spoken and Written English (CSWE). The CSWE courses are designed based on student needs, skill levels and interests and are matched with the students’ employment goals for future participation in the workforce.

Students may be able to access additional training with specific and accredited vocational outcomes. The vocational training will help students to choose a pathway to employment or further education and training.
